Mind Your Mind
Hi, I’m Candiece, the founder of Mind Your Mind.

I’m a mental health and parenting educator with a background in psychology and education. I have over 15 years of experience working across education reform, youth wellbeing, and mental health—both in Australia and in the Asia Pacific. I’m also a trained facilitator and have worked with governments, schools, and leading mental health organisations to design and deliver programs that actually work in real life—not just on paper.

Mind Your Mind was born from a gap I kept seeing: people—especially young people and parents—needed practical, relatable support. Not clinical jargon or vague advice, but tools they could use right now. In my work and in my own community in regional Victoria, I saw families waiting months for help, navigating systems that felt overwhelming or out of reach. So I built something that could meet them where they’re at—with education and support that’s accessible, evidence-based, and grounded in real-world needs.

And then came motherhood—and a whole new layer of insight.

Nothing really prepared me for the shift that happens when you become a mother. The mental load, the identity change, the pressure to “bounce back,” the bursts of rage, and the feelings of loneliness, —it hit hard. No one gave me a heads-up on how big the changes really are. And I realised: mothering was never meant to be done alone. But that’s how so many of us are doing it.
Through Mothermind, I support mothers navigating the realities of matrescence—the often-ignored transformation that happens when we become mothers. I offer mentoring, education, and spaces for mothers to connect honestly, without shame or sugar-coating. Because it’s not you that’s broken—it’s the systems and expectations that set us up to fail.
We talk about the things no one else does: rage, guilt, identity loss, mental health struggles, and the unrealistic standards so many mothers are trying to live up to. This work isn’t about fixing mothers—it’s about backing and empowering them. Creating space for us to be heard, seen, and supported—together.

I’m currently training in Motherhood Studies with Dr Sophie Brock and will soon be a certified Motherhood Practitioner. I bring both lived experience and professional knowledge to this work, with a clear focus: keep it real, keep it useful, and don’t leave mothers behind.

My Core Values
